Conditions are fine. When I was a kid skiing in Seattle we were trained to appreciate all snow, whether crunchy, powder, ice, or whatever. Now folks are spoiled by grooming, expecting every day to be perfect. Where's the challenge to that? Get off your butt and love the ice.
Glad I didn't get a pass this year. Wonder if it will ever snow at Squaw again. Three years in a row of bad snow. I'm sure we will get some big storm in March, then it will be 60 degrees for two weeks, just like last year. What a shame!
Skied Squaw today. Save your money until they get more snow. Most of the black diamond runs are closed and even the intermediate runs that are open require you keep your eyes open for rocks and sticks coming through. Icy early and slushy on lower runs.
