Went up with kids and friends. Heavy snow south facing, but really great conditions for late April. The wind and lightening closed Headwall early but Granite Chief while open was fun, and KT was just plain fun till 4pm. +5 stars for late spring snow.
Foot of fresh on Friday 4/22, snow on Saturday was very heavy even at 9am. Even heavier and very tracked out by noon. Some dirt starting to show at the base, but decent coverage at the upper elevations still
Incredibly it has been hero snow for days. Real soft and easy to ski. If you are going fast enough you could confuse it with pow.
Please be advised Peruvian Gulch is now closed as they are replacing the cable for the team. Ski patrol said they are trying to see if they can rope off the area under the tram and keep the other half open but they made no promises
Our first time at Snowbird today. Firm and fast for the am session in Mineral Basin, White Diamonds and Silver Dipper fast and groomed nice. Afternoon on the north side once it softened up, velvet smooth on Election. Chips Face to end the day.
