Typical spring conditions if thats what you like which means it's A LOT of fun if you can ride it. For those who can't I suggest they stay on mtn. road or south face. For those who know what they're getting into it was phenomal. No crowds and good groomers when you hit them. Kudos okemo.
Okemo dropped the ropes on the mogul trails today so a lot more terrain open-still not 117 however as most of the glades remain closed -presumably due to thin cover as it was mashed potatoes even in the glades (if one was to find a way in that wasn't blocked with a rope)
Overall a great day , no lines, warm but not hot and lots of varied trails. Kudos to okemo but drop the ropes on the glades with a thin cover warning as they are quite enjoyable
Glades are all roped off! Freezing rain Friday limited skiing to only groomers til noon, then they opened up a few mogul runs in the afternoon They could have easily opened up the glades on lower mountain-they are a little thin in areas but soft and easily navigable-but never did. The 118 trails open is not even close though it was still an enjoyable day and hopefully they will open more tomorrow. We came here over Stratton/killington because of the report of more mogul and gladed trails open but false advertising!
I rode Sunday, monday and Tuesday. The conditions were great for the beginning of April. Soft snow. Carinthia park is amazing. Nice staff. Morning to lunch time had the best riding. Choppy later in the day. But 5 stars for April 1st!!! (Picture is of frozen lifts, the reason some are shut down). All of it melted today. Bluebird was running.
