Firm slush up top, soft slush down below with some wet spots that will grab you. Generally good cover with the obstacles that are there marked. Wanted to get in a day before it froze up, and while conditions aren't nearly perfect today, it will be an ice rink in Friday without a doubt. Okemo should recover faster and better than most, but I would be amazed if over half the trails up top were not very hard and crusty at best once it freezes. South face has the best conditions today due to less traffic.
Conditions Dirt and Ice they groomed and compacted the slush Sunday at 5pm and last evening at 5 pm it froze into a Block of Ice today. Don't know why they do not let moisture drain during night and Groom at 5 am Oh well we're talking Peak Resorts
Mornings were very good Saturday and Sunday ...north face by far had the better skiing. Sunday was spring skiing by 11:00 am. Rain coming in Wednesday ...then cold again. Have faith in the snow making team. They will bring it back!
Today was prob the best day I've had at Stratton all season and I've been up every weekend since thanksgiving, soft snow, no lines and no huge ice patches. Sick runs all day. Gotta give it up to these hits those snowmakers and groomers have been working miracles
Fun day weekend. Very fast on Saturday and soft and slow on Sunday. The warm up caused a lot of bare spots to peak through late on Sunday. Word on the street is that the snowmaking budget has been tapped for the season, so pray for natural snow.
