If you enjoy total spring conditions then you'll have a blast. Some good corn to be had. Top is a bit firm but cornice groomer is fun. Rocks are around but easy to avoid. Some floating gravel starting to appear on ramps. I would use rock skis mostly to avoid gravel scratches. Maybe snow next week
It's official, I'm done for the season! Lifts 2 and 3 running with 5 runs open. Runs r very narrow in certain areas with brown spots popping up before your eyes! If u dare to go, b careful! The lower part of Miracle Mile is really bad and probably will b closed by tomorrow.
On its last legs. Can't see how they will be able to stay open until April. It's pretty much summer in bear. Very little coverage. Bald patches all over the place. Incredibly slushy. Hard to pickup speed. Waxing your board or skis is a must
Having fun out their, great bit of new snow! Just a bummer not what Mammoth usually deliveres for March eagle closed, cloud 9 hasn't been open all season, canyon is almost done and it's looking to be what could the earliest closing on record
Just back from four days at Mammoth. Spring skiing, with frozen mornings and slushy afternoons. Sadly, most of ungroomed upper mountain not skiable as it hasn't warmed enough to undo thaw crust of ten days ago. That said, lots of fun to be had in Santiago etc. Likely to be shortest spring skiing season I Mammoth history, so get yours now.
