Looks like this is the first actual report of the season! Skied opening day and Friday morning and it's awesome to be back on the hill! There's very few runs open, but what is open is solid. Mammoth's snow crew deserves a lot of credit.

What you'll get on the hill is super firm cord in the morning, bordering on ice up on Saddle Bowl. By 11, everything has softened up for some decent turns. Hint: Everyone's doing an early morning half day, so unless you have some deep desire to have first tracks, ski after noon and get the mountain to yourself.

3/9 went right after the storm. Couple of the lifts were inoperable. Great surface though and decent coverage, it won't last long at all.

Went on Mon 1/22/13. Good coverage still, but hard. Softened and slushed up in the heat mid day. Still love this place.
