I've been to Serre Chevalier 3 times, once for a day and twice for a week.

Every time, it's had the best snow for miles around, some alpine charm (all too rare in French resorts) and for those who say it's limited for expert skiiers, I'd say go when there's powder and you can get off piste, it's fantastic then!

Don't be put off by the relatively low altitude, it's a great place to ski.
