The province of South-Holland is one of the worlds highly populated and industrialised areas. At the west side its conected to the North Sea, the rest of the landscape is totaly flat apart from a small strip of dunes at the coast.

Important cities are The Hague and Rotterdam. Highest point in the province (and the Netherlands) is +33,5 m in the Western Dune Area. Lowest point lies 6,74 meter below the surface in a Polderarea near Nieuwerkerk aan de IJssel. Winter sports fans in this province meet in SnowWorld Zoetermeer and De Uithof.
