Still worth a lot to come on this site. Very good snow of the middle part to the higher stations.

Thinking about bagging Valle Nevado due to warm temps and lack of snow, and going to Chillian instead. Is it worth the 5 hours? Heading there 8/26 but also seeing a friend in Santiago so time is tight. Any advice fellow shredders? Gracias!

Super warm spring conditions here. It's been a bad season for them this year. Snow is there with decent coverage on the groomers but it is going fast. Anything off trail looks good but ends up being crusty and icy.

Thank you Anita! Very much appreciate the tips! I've been a bit concerned about the warm temps. I'm used to freezing conditions here in New England. Looks like it will be spring riding. Not a bad thing :) Mucho gracias.

Valle Nevado snow was fine today. A little wet near base but not too sticky. It was beautifully sunny and warmer early in the day. Afternoon cloud cover dropped temperature enough to add a layer back. Views were nice. It is nice to ski in August but it is a long slow windy hike up from Santiago. Get an early start! Tour busses arrive noonish. So take a private car and leave early to avoid mountain traffic jams ensure a full day of skiing.
