Summit at Snoqualmie is pretty much the last place I would chose to board in Washington. It is flat, with very little vertical height. It is very close to Seattle (~1 hr), which is nice, except that means it is always crowded. It is also very low in elevation, which means it is subject to the whims of Pacific Northwest weather, meaning it often gets rained on, and gets icy. Everything is groomed anyways though.

What is does have going for it is a great terrain park, probably the best in washington. It is very popular though, so be sure to watch where you're going and don't ruin anyone's jumps! The park has lots of terrain features, and the jumps are well constructed.

It is a good place for families, though, as there is nothing too difficult and it is impossible to get lost. The best downhill terrain to be had is off the Silver Fur lift and over at Summit East. Don't believe the maps, even their black diamonds aren't that hard.

There is some lodging around, but no real nightlife to the best of my knowledge.

The good thing about Summit is that a pass here is very affordable ($300) and gets you access to Alpental, which is excellent downhill and is close by. If you consider yourself advanced, do yourself a favor and head over to Alpental if there's any good snow. Otherwise hit up the park with everyone else.
