Region Wide Comparison

Area Profile

A small town with a long history in the textile industry, now moving in to year-round tourism. It has a pleasant centre with an 18th century Baroque church and early 19th century houses. Skiing also has a long history here, with the town being one of the founders of the Czech Ski Association in 1903. LoCATED IN ONE OF THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PARTS OF THE High Tatras and the region's highest village, it grew up as a spa centre from 1872.
