  • Crash Test Dummies Turn 10 at Cannon

    Saturday, March 10th will see the 10th running of the Crash Test Dummy race at Cannon Mountain. In what has become a big spectator sport, participants build sleds "driven" by inanimate dummies which race head to head in single elimination competition. Full Article

  • Ragged Gets a Reprieve

    Ragged Mountain was granted an eleventh hour reprieve from a foreclosure auction scheduled for March 1. The area defaulted on a $4.75 million dollar loan from Endeavor Financial Services which was due in January. Full Article

  • Meister Cup Brings Nostalgia to Cranmore

    The Hannes Schneider Meister Cup Race returns to Cranmore on March 10. This fundraiser for the New England Ski Museum honors Hannes Schneider, known as the father of modern ski instruction who came to North Conway from Austria in 1939 and used the latest in teaching techniques to introduce the sport of skiing to a generation of Americans.   • 100K in a Day at Wildcat

    Can you ski 100,000 vertical feet in one day? You can find out if you take the Challenge at Wildcat Mountain on March 5th. The 4th Annual 100K Day will be held that day to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Forty pre-registered participants will ski the Lynx trail (these skiers and riders will have the trail to themselves) to meet the Challenge. Full Article
