Pleasantly surprised at the quality of snow conditions. Limited terrain but what is open is good. Thanks Heavenly snowmaking for helping out Mother Nature. Sunshine today helps make the skiing enjoyable too.
My god. There are huge open spots on the front slope with no snow. In late January. A few diehards going at it.
Let's hope this January is a rare anomaly, and that 2015 is not remembered at the start of a new era.
Spent last weekend skiing at Breck... So obviously I had to lower my expectations coming to Tahoe. But honestly considering it has snowed in a month... It was beautiful weather, no lift lines, and pretty good groomed runs. Not too shabby.
Got some good runs in but dismal snow coverage overall. Spring conditions in the a.m. and could get very slushy in the afternoon. Much fewer runs open than expected. Had better luck on the NV side. Gorgeous day and no crowds, so it's hard to complain too much.
I agree with the post below. Not great, but had a great time. they do a really good job making snow and grooming what is possible. park is still really good and some blue runs still nice. first time here though and an intermediate rider.
Glad I didn't get a pass this year. Wonder if it will ever snow at Squaw again. Three years in a row of bad snow. I'm sure we will get some big storm in March, then it will be 60 degrees for two weeks, just like last year. What a shame!
