Set in the Tarentaise valley with Val d'Isere and Tignes at the far end, arriving at Bourg-St-Maurice rail station from London on the TGV 'Snowtrain' allows the fastest transfer/access to Les Arcs via the Funicular Cable Car to Arc1600, from which free bus transfers take you to the other three villages of Arc1800, 1950 & 2000.
The Paradiski area of over 400 km of pistes offers something for everyone, though you can just do a 3 Euro lift ride on the Chantel if you're a beginner .... but for the intermediates this resort really excels as the Transarc lift from Arc1800 gives you access to the Aiguille Rouge peak at 3226m and an awesome 2000m vertical drop down to Villaroger via 7 km of red runs through the trees that is one of the best most leg-burning scorchers you could hope to find .... with the promise of a cold pint of Leffe beer at the end .... go for it!
