We had a very good experience on the slopes in Feb 2006. Equipment hire was fast and efficient, private lessons booked without difficulty and progress from snow plough to parallel achieved whilst having a lot of fun. Queues for lifts were less than 5-10 mins on all but the most crowded areas where the ski schools operated group lessons. Good range of wide slopes, care needed where black red and blue slopes crossed. Restaurants busy but efficient but avoid the ski school break period as queues extend rapidly. Zell am Zee town pleasant enough, we stayed at the Grand hotel where the food was excellent and the service efficient and friendly. The walks across the frozen lake not to be missed. We didnt sample much of the night life as we were soon to bed to recharge batteries for another full day on the slopes. We will be returning in Feb 2007 staying at the Hotel Tirolerhof to take full advantage of the Spa facilities.
