A small village that's part of the Grossarl munincipality with access (via short bus ride to Grossarl village down the vslley) to the Gastein valley, one of Austria's largest ski areas via a link over the main Kreuzkogel peak with 80km (50 miles) of linked trails. Huttschlag has a small ski area of its own but serious skiers are more likely to be attracted by its location by Grossarl on the giant Ski Amade pass wjich covers five ski regions incorporating more than 25 individual ski resorts in the region on one ticket.
