Very interesting village with some very nice buildings with a different flair to other ski destinations. I was really impressed how big the skiing area is. It sticks together with the skiing area of Bad Hofgastein and because of that you have many kilometers to drive. You can buy for the whole Gasteinertal one ski pass so you can change the areas.
Most of the slopes are red and blue. The mountains in this area are kind of soft in comparison to Sportgastein for example, and because of that I would recommend this area to families and to beginners. But also for good skiers there are many possibilities especially off the slopes. You can run directly down to the village. In the area you will find many beautiful traditional huts with good food and possibilities for après ski.
Also in the evening you can go to some nice restaurants or to some party places. Very special beside skiing are the hot thermal fonts and there are some other possibilities for sport beside skiing so you won´t get bored in this place.
