Zauchensee is just one hour from Salzburg and offers easy access to the Amade ski region. Most of the hotels in Zauchensee are ski-in/ski-out and are 4 star. The village is ideal for families as there is no through traffic, and all the facilities are within very easy walking distances, eg; just 20 meters from the Hotel Zauchenseehof to the Roskopf gondola station. or 30 meters from the Hotel Salzburgerhof to the Unterbergriedl 4 person chairlift. Nightlife is very limited with the Almbar offering the main late night action. Overall this resort is ideal for families and must be one of the most family convenient resorts in the European Alps.
