One of the best spring pow days in recent memory! Knee deep ever with my fat skis. Saw people stuck waist deep in pow. Road to Provo runs in mineral basin weren't open, however. Should still be virgin pow virgpowdeover there today
Weather: Variable 22F. Morning partly sunny gave way to afternoon clouds and some snow. At times windy others calm air
Visibility: varied with the weather, some fog.
Snow: epic spring pow day. A day that will surely stand out as one of the best spring days ever. Waist deep in places. At risk of being overly picky, pow was a touch "sticky" and a hair heavier than winter pow, this for my fellow connoisseurs out there. Break out the fat skis folks!
Epic powder day today (mon). Heavy snow pretty much all day. Top was very gusty with poor visibility. Bowls off Supreme were awesome. Snow continues to Wed. The road was ok when I left at 5pm. One car overturned but not sure why. Stupid speeder prob.
Weather:40 F. Overcast some wind
Visibility: low light conditions
Snow: snow was better in morning over all pretty darn good for spring.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: we are expecting a MAJOR winter storm starting early Monday morning all the way through Wednesday, weather service is predicting 12-24 inches up to 30" possible and gusts up to 70 mph. If planning on going up Monday morning either take the bus or get chains for your tires. They are like $30 you have no excuse... Follow Utah Canyon Alerts on Twitter or Facebook for real time canyon closure status or at updsl.org . Just cause it's open doesn't mean it's safe!
Out of town visitors please take the bus, it's $4.50 one way per person they accept exact change only, Apple Pay/ android pay ect. They DO NOT take regular cards! The bus driver will not take you up if you can't pay with a medium they accept!
Please please be safe!
