OK Yawgoo fans, tell me, how a "supposedly" professional sports writer can translate a great article about our Dylan from Snowboard Mag.com.
.... into this piece of crap article by uneducated Nate Scott....... "This is Dylan Gamache, a snowboarder from Rhode Island who grew up riding Yawgoo Valley, which is just about as ridiculous a little ski park as it sounds. Yawgoo Valley is located in Exeter, Rhode Island and its biggest boast is that it is Rhode Island’s only ski resort. (Which, by proxy, makes it its BEST ski resort.) (Also its worst.)
Yawgoo Valley has 14 runs, two chair lifts, and a rope tow. It is a sweet, sad little hill.
Gamache is doing more interesting stuff on that sweet, sad little hill than most snowboarders are doing on the biggest peaks in Utah and Colorado. Watch the video. The guy will make something happen out of nothing. We all enjoyed the video, but he took that from Snowboard Mag.com
and then dissed Dylans home area.
Those of us here at Yawgoo, know that Dylan, the Yawgoons and thousands of other kids learned to make magic on a skis or a snowboard here. As hard as you all had to work at learning at a place with not a lot of vertical, those that were behind the scenes were putting their heart and soul into making sure you had a place to do that. For someone who is not educated about Yawgoo and in my humble opinion very unprofessional, Nate Scott owes all of you who love your home area an apology. We need to "Educate Nate".....tweet him to stick to reporting on basketball or better...basket weaving.
