This is the perfect location whether in the winter (twice) or summer (once) . I have been 3 times in the past 5 years. You do NOT need a car. This is a completely enclosed pedestrian village. There are shops, spas, skiing, snowboarding parks, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, activities etc.. all within a 5 minute walk...and if you dont want to walk, there is a Cabriolet lift up and down the pedestrian village. Once you park your car, forget it...The resort tax is a little much.I took a group of 50 friends from Boston. There were several NON-skiiers in the bunch, and they have just as much fun if not more than the skiiers. There is a Centre for Activities that has everything from Dogsledding, Tubing, Ice Climbing, spas etc.. Make sure you book your appointments early.Try different places to eat. Make sure you stop by the Creparie for breakfast crepes, Stop by the Frozen maple syrup treat at the base of the moutains.. Book your reservations for LaSavoie, well in advance (Fondue Restaurant). Book group outings at Fat Mardi's (New Orleans type of restuarant & The n'ice Club. (Complete CLub made of ice). The Atomic Rental place a the base of the moutain was a better rental area that the regular rentlas (long lines)Make sure you warm your hands and sit in the adironack chairs with the massive wood fireplace in the village center.Take a $8 taxi to the Le Spa Scandinave...I took 5 couples as a gift...$38 CD baths, $100 CD for 1 hour massage and baths...Give yourself at least 3 hours if you intend to get a massage... I repeat this is not a girlie type of spa..It is completely outdoors.. In winter, remember flipflops & a robe!Give the courtesty of the occasional Bonjour! and enjoy this perfect location... I have become a walking billboard for places I love!Great for couples, great for families, & great for groups!! All around the company Intrawest did a good job!
