The snow and terrain are great
Long trip to get there
The hill has what we think is the best terrain in the east. The runs are long, with all the challenges you need in a ski area and the view of the St. Lawrence is beautiful.
The area is unusual in that most people arrive at the top. There are lodges at both the top and bottom and both are well designed and serve real food, instead of just pizza and burgers. The lifts are all in like-new condition and we had little in the way of lines or problems.
There is no slope-side lodging and we stayed about 20 minutes away in Baie-St-Paul, at an auberge (inn). The town in an artist's colony with many shops, interesting galleries, and a huge variety of delicious foods.
There is a plan to run a railroad from Quebec to the hill starting in the fall of 2011.
