Camp Fortune is a great place close to the City, 12 miles from where I live to Skyline, skied New Year's Day, very hard packed snow., lots of snow on the slopes, but many of the runs were closed., apparently the Snow grooming machine is down for maintenance?? Maybe Fortune & Mont St Marie., (same owners) shouid invest in some new or used snow cats... a few are on Ebay !!.. Great Day out for the 1st day of the year., Breakfast in the main lodge was a little pricey for $9. but pretty good., absolutely no one out on the slopes., only one run open at the Meech Chair., Skyline had 2 runs open.. again, grooming is required to get things opened up !!.. Come on guy's., no more whining about the snow... we have lots this year..
