Just curious, how is a snowcone surface anything like powder? There is nothing resembling powder right now...It is as you would expect after lots of rain following a very poor winter. Better than nothing. Hopefully they refresh the slopes if it gets cold enough.
Great weekday at blue, with the recent rain and warmer weather the snow was a bit wet and heavy but other that great day at blue. Weather was amazing and lines were non existent until about 5 then some crowds showed up. Parks were great lots or rails and jumps.
February 2nd 2016 happy Groundhogs Day machine groomed hard and crunchy in the morning softened up as the temperatures warmed much better than I expected considering the weather we've been having good job Blue Mountain
Sugar and ice. Bumps were not bad, though Nightmare seemed excessively spaced. Challenge bumps were fine up until the boulder piles on the last stretch. Deep sugar in spots. At least no lines. Started to firm up a little as we left. Rough season. That 2ft helped at least minimize the damage from the warmth, though the coming rain is not going to help very much. Sunset as well...
cream cheese snow made for great turns early today. only way to ride in this warm temp is 1st chair for a few hours. few people, no lift lines, empty runs. I'm sure by afternoon this snow was slow and mashed up. great morning though and every trail was open!!
