Piwniczna-Zdrój is a health resort with almost 6 thousand citizens, located in the South of Lesser Poland Province, by the boarder with Slovakia. In the region of the resort there are several peaks , where there are ski routes prepared. The biggest station is “Sucha Dolina”, located on the slopes of Eliaszówka (1021m). The ski routes are diverse and advance winter sports enthusiasts, as well as beginners will find something for themselves. In the town and next to the slopes there are ski equipment rentals and ski schools. There are also car parks and gastronomic locals. Accommodation base in Piwniczna is developed. The places are in holiday and heath resorts, hotels and private rooms. The only way to get to Piwniczna by car is with the route nr 67, leading to Nowy Sącz. The buses from local towns also run there.
