just come back from bardonecchia been out there for a skiing trip for a week i booked it over the internet with a well known sports activity holiday group.
our holiday started off bad at Turin airport as we had to wait for over 1hr 45 mins for our luggage at the carousels. we had looked on the website for snow conditions we was concerned as it ha been a bad season to date. they had put down that 17 of 21 slopes were open that’s a lie because mezelet was completed closed and also you couldn’t get to the top of the campo smith area.
the website also says has great snow making machines they have only if u turn them on, the excuse they give that it had to be minus 4. it was nearly that every night at one point or another. they only were on for three days out of six. we also heard that the resort had only received 1 meter of snow all season and it should have been 13-15 meters and the reps knew this so why wasn’t it posted on the website ?
the tour operator had a list of activities to do as it boasts to be the best activities holiday tour operator. Monday nothing Tuesday wine tasting cancelled Wednesday quiz which was the highlight of the week Friday night ski-ing cancelled and Saturday bum boarding which we was told was 16.30 to 17.30 there was a big group of lads and a couple of lasses and then a couple of us and the rep just sat there and talked to the other reps and there was no mention of bum boarding so everyone left.
we stopped at campo smith apartments our room was never cleaned once we had to go buy our own toilet paper the towels we used all week and the bed was a sofa bed which he sheets never got changed.
the thing that i can say was god was the local food and wine no complaints but if you are thinking about going or have booked consider changing. Thank u mm21
