Emergency Medical Respond Team is very helpful
Awful Parking !!! Unfriendly Stuff. Crowded on weekends and holidays.
I started skiing at Spring Mountain in this January. I got my beginner lesson and started enjoying skiing. I have been skiing up there almost all weekends, 6 to 7 weekends till now.
Here are my observations:
This place is a small ski area and does not have enough capacity during weekend and holidays.
Parking is awful! They will send you to additional parking lot. 15 to 30 minutes will be spent to arrive to cashiers on main building to buy your lift tickets. A stupid school bus runs in between locations.
Now be ready to wait on the line again to buy your lift tickets for another 15 to 30 minutes.
Rental equipments are old and deformed. I definitely recommend everyone to rent their equipments from their neighborhood ski stores. They charge $25.00 for boots and skies. Even if you have your own booths you still have to pay the same amount without renting a pair of boots. It was told that this is their company policy.
Bathrooms are not enough and dirty.
Although too many emergency Medical Respond Team members are around, Beginners instructors don’t not give any safety tips during first lesson. One of my class-mate had an accident and was hit on face by a snow-border.
Lifts are old and does look old. Many of those lift poles’ transfer wheels creak. People are ending up waiting on the lift lines up to 15 minutes especially on Beginner’s Lift Lane for a minute or two downhill skiing.
If you have other ski hills as an option try skiing somewhere else.
