If you need a place to drop off the kids for the day, Spring Mountain is it. Because it's cheap and so close to Philly, you can ditch the kiddies and spend Saturday shopping, working, or crying into your margarita at TGIFriday's while you pine for your carefree childless days.

But for anyone old enough to have a drivers' license, Spring Mountain is a no-go. Remember the aforementioned kids? Yeah, they're all over the mountain. Literally, all over the mountain. Sitting there. In the middle of the trails. In a big circle with 15 of their friends. Chatting, texting, people watching, etc. It's like a minefield of brats.

And if you suggest that the middle of a ski trail is not a smart place to hang out, you'll get a healthy dose of pre-teen eye-roll and attitude. Y'know, the reason why Mommy drinks.
