Nice small local mountain with reasonable ticket prices. Cool vintage vibe. great value for the price, but a bit out of the way, which results in low crowds. On those rare powder days the mountain does not open during the week until 1pm. Therefore, we have plenty of time to catch first tracks.
Great value, even during holiday week there were no lift lines. Old vintage nostalgic vibe.
Small, remote, not much for experts

Love visiting this small resort in northern PA. Has a great local feel reminding me of days past. Snow conditions seem to always be good. Great value for the price.
Great local feel, low crowds, good snow conditions
small with little challenge for experts.

My family went tubing at Ski Sawmill. It's the first time in forever that I've done anything like this due to me having MS. The personnel running the tubing run were amazing. My husband mentioned my disability letting them know I wasn't just being lazy by not getting in and out of the tube and someone assisting me and from there the tubing personnel were very understanding and helped every moment they had a chance. We travel often and usually I sit out of things since it is difficult for me without assistance and allot of people are not understanding of disabilities and make you feel like you are just being lazy or bothering them with needing assistance. My entire family had a great time and that is due allot in part of the great personnel. We will be coming back. Thank you.
Very friendly and helpful staff

It was great! Everyone there is very nice, and I got to enjoy a full day of skiing! Definitely going there again this year!

It's obviously not a huge mountain. However, if a very friendly atmosphere, excellent pricing, short lift lines and plenty of skiing in one day, this is the place,

Would highly recommend for a half day of skiing/boring/tubing
Pros: Great little place to ski and snowboard. Very affordable passes and rental prices. Food is good and not crazy expensive either!
Cons: Not too many hills for more experienced skiers. (What to be expected from a smaller pace)

As a season ticket holder I find Ski Sawmill as a great fun place. It's easy on the wallet and is well maintained. The staff is alway's courtious and very friendly. And for those who enjoy tubing it's #1 in Pa. a total blast. The down side is lack of imagination ! The mtn. is always the same year after year and lacks events. Some trails see little use and could be better incorporated into the the mtn for longer trails. Reaching out to the bucket list crowd could definitly increase activity on the mtn.A toboggan run would also be a great addition to this venue. Overall it's a very fun place !
Excellent Family venue
longer trails needed

I'm a local of this mountain. Overall ski sawmill is great for beginners and family. They are good at making snow and grooming. They have small amount of terrain but, they also have snow tubing for those who don't ski/ride. Overall this is a great mountain for anyone who wants to have fun and doesn't get hung up on big mountain riding all the time.
Good for beginners and family
small and lack of terrain

The snowboard and ski instructors at Ski Sawmill are far from "just kids they let ski for free". Ski Sawmill takes every lesson and instructor very seriously and expects them to act professional at all times and give 110% of their attention to their lesson. Although most instructors are kids, each and every one has been through a training session. Most are not PSIA/AASI, but all that means is you've taken a test to get your "official" level 1, intermediate ski/snowboard thing that gives you discounts at other ski resorts and other small benefits. But, at the Sawmill, they have sessions once a month for an hour to two hours based on learning how to better themselves in teaching lessons. Being kids, it's hard to keep them acting professional every single second of the day, but I'm very impressed with them. If actions are taken too far (or even slightly), there are very serious consequences for everyone. At Ski Sawmill, they take Lessons very seriously and I'd highly recommend taking a lesson there. At larger ski resorts, they are only allowed to teach you on thing per lesson. At Ski Sawmill, the lesson is taken to the highest level possible based on your abilities. They may not officially be professionals, but you will definitely be satisfied with a lesson.

This is a nice small resort, but can not be compared to others in the Poconos. I can not believe they are rated number five in the state. Sawmill claims to have 12 runs, but thats more like 5 in reality. Some of their "trails" are less than 100 yards long. Your journey down the slope is under a minute if you take your time and there is not any difficult slopes. The lifts are slow. The only reason I consider coming here is for some deals they offer on nights during the week and it is close to Williamsport area. If you travel much further you will be disappointed. The lift ticket price just is not worth it normally when you can go to a real resort in the poconos for the same price or just a little more. The staff are friendly and it is a nice place to learn or bring families. If you come here, expect a very small resort. Lines usually aren't bad. After about an hour you will be sick of the same runs again and again.
