I was impressed we skied here Friday 23. blue skis and quite nice overall great conditions but terrible grooming on lower slopes lots of powder piles mixed with ice slopes are mostly intermediate and above with a couple of nice advanced beginner slopes lodge is not great and overcrowded for a Friday no place to leave extra great so leave it in car lodge is also a bit warmer than it should be it will make you sweat just walking in grooming is good but not frequent looks like every 3 days maybe but nice base and good conditions
lodge is terrible and way overheated think like a sauna lifts are old and slow lines are long and slow lift tickets are overpriced now the good stuff great slopes geared to intermediates and up with glade and even a touch of back country skiing a dedicated race program slopes are generally well groomed and great features
parking lot is a hike they use open standing trams advise leaving your stuff in your car as lodge is dirty very hot and overcrowded but this is as close to Vermont skiing you can get in PA and a fee notches above camelback for slopes not really for skiiers who are still in gliding v really need to be in parallel
Better than I thought. Lines were OK and snow too, for what the season has been in the area. Need to do some grooming. Too many moguls on blues early in the day.
Also, two blacks have a mogul field? Come on! One is enough when you only have three.
Oh my goodness! 1/23/15 might have been the best Pocono skiing I've ever done. 6-8" of heavy powder. Some runs groomed (blues/greens) but most blacks left to bump up. Slightly crowded mid-day (5-10 min for most lifts). Amazing day!
