They certainly were optimistic. Seven Springs ended up gettin 5" of snow and 3" of sleet. There's been light snow with probably another 3" of fresh real snow on top since. I haven't had the chance to check the conditions out personally. It's the "can't ski when there isn't snow, can't get to the mountain when there is snow" situation. They open the new superpipe today. 18' high, 440' long. Impressive, to say the least.
