7-Springs used to be a great mid-Atlantic resort, and I loved that it was my local hill. However, this will be my last year as a season pass holder. Closing at 6pm when the conditions are at their best? I'd love to see a reputable resort pull off that stunt. I don't care if one person is on the hill, they should be open. I doubt they make a major profit on day-of sales during the week, so 7-Springs mostly screws the pass holders. What happened to 8am early openings on Avalanche? A primary lift, Tyrol, closes early and rarely runs during the week. Has no one from 7-Springs been to New England or out West to learn how to manage lift lines, especially the Gunnar line? I used to defend 7-Springs as being great for what it was, but no more.
