My family lives close to Pittsburgh and we learned ski at 7 Springs as it is a nice mountain given the proximity. However, if you want to take your family to a place that is safe and enjoyable for all, you do not want to go to 7 Springs. The best example I can give is it would be similar to taking your family to Daytona Beach during Spring Break. The drinking/rowdy behavior translates into a non-enjoyable and unsafe experience. Specifically in slow areas where skiers/boarders have no regard for fellow skiers. There is a reason they have been voted, "Best Nighlife."
I've written several times to the staff at 7 Springs as I feel they have a lot to offer (facilities, mountain terrain, proximity), but never get a response.
As a result we (family and friends) will not return. We'd rather travel further (Holiday Valley/Snowshoe) or go to HIdden Valley for quick trips.
