Roundtop is typically icy. Goes with the teratory. The snow making is great. They do take good care the slopes with grooming. Local weather conditions however reduce the granular stuff to ice. For good snow conditions wait for the day after a natural snow or go somewhere else. No tavern at any ski resort is a disadvantage. The lodge reminds you of a ice scateing rink more than a ski lodge. Poor food "Fast Food Style" and cafeteria style service at a high price. Somewhat rinky-dink. There is something for the more advanced skiers however don't expect it to be good conditions on the advanced slopes all the time. For this area it is OK. If you are used to the far north or west you will be disapointed.
