It was tough to think of a "con" for this trip. Took an afternoon off and took my youngest two children (6 & 7) to Ski Liberty for the day. Got the youngest in a 2 hour group class, but he was the only one in it. His instructor was friendly and likable. She said that he was turning much better but he couldn't prove it on the beginner slopes. :-( He was skiing better than before and he had a lot of fun. My daughter and I had a chance to ski some new-for-her slopes and hit the terrain park. The snow was packed powder--real packed powder, and not ice. It was really a pleasure to ski on. No piles of crud all over the place. Very enjoyable. Liberty does a great job with grooming. Due to the unseasonable temps, not all trails were open and coverage on most of the trails was thin in some spots. They did a great job with the terrain park with only small features available but that was just what we were looking for. The staff was exceptionally friendly--perhaps because they hadn't seen to many people all day. Monday afternoons are a great time to ski. A memorable day at Liberty.
