Hidden valley resort was at one time a hopping active place to go, it’s dead now except during ski season! Owner Nutting is a cheap ass and has done nothing to improve it! Tonight the slopes are packed and he has ONE lift open in main area and the whole fricken lodge is closed !!! Why ?? Nuttings a jerk and ruins everything he touches like he’s done to the Pgh Pirates!!
Loved Hidden Valley resort been coming for 35 years!
Pirates owner Robert Nutting owns it

It is a great place for a chilled atmosphere. The Sunset Cafe was a horrible experience and will never go back. The pool didn't have the over powering chlorine smell. The men's sauna and exercise equipment were out of order both days we stayed. Ladies restroom in the pool had 1 stall not operable. 2 star ratings as we did not have first hand experience.

overall a good place to go especially midweek. great for the price, not so much for the challenge.
very few people mid week. low cost.
not a lot of runs. not many black diamond runs.

Don't plan on eating here. The food is terrible and way overpriced. Over $12 for mediocre chicken strips and grocery store mac & cheese. BUS COMPANIES: no food discount for drivers. I brought 52 people here and still had to pay retail price for something to eat. Shuttle drivers and parking lot attendants are very friendly and helpful

Tried to take the family skiing and snow tubing. The tubing hill is apparently a few miles down the road, so you can't actually do both with a family. We split up and waited 45 minutes for a shuttle that never came. We tried to get an answer from a staff member if the shuttles were running, but they just said "10 minutes". We tried to call the resort directly, but they have no customer support, just voicemail. After an hour we gave up and sat inside, with no wifi. Would love to have talked to a manager, but no one seemed to be working or care. Very disappointing considering we drove from Pittsburgh to go tubing. Never again.

Great resort. Very family friendly and not nearly as busy as 7 Springs. It's not a huge resort, but there are enough runs on the mountain that I've never gotten bored here, and I've been skiing here for 15 years. The terrain park is enough to get you started. If you ever outgrow this place, there's always 7 Springs right down the road. However, I do think that when you compare their price to bigger and better resorts in the area, they're a tad overpriced.

Love the resort. Great place for families to take their children.

My daughter and I took her two children ages 4 and 7 to Hidden Valley to stay on Thursday and Friday nights in January of 2015. Tubing on Thursday night was great and the young men who worked were so pleasant and helpful. Skiing on Friday was a different story. The rental people were wonderful, but there were no weekday programs for the children. Only private lessons were available. The Little Rippers area was closed and that would have been perfect for two first-time children. The shuttle service was fantastic. The room was so noisy. We could actually hear everything the people were saying in the next room and they weren't talking loudly. I thought the rooms were expensive, but I have to say we liked the refrigerator and microwave. The wi-fi was hit or miss or it would kick you off. The indoor pool was wonderful. The walkway to our room was not shoveled and neither were the steps to the Conference lodge. I grew up going to Hidden Valley and always loved it. I guess that is why I was so disappointed.
Shuttle service, people who worked in the rental place were very helpful, indoor pool, spa, guys who worked tubing run were very helpful,
noisy rooms (we could hear the whole conversation next door), lack of snow removal on paths to room and on stairwells, Little Rippers not open (would have been perfect for 4 & 7 year olds first time), lack of staff at main desk (phone ringing & he had a l
