Great snow, relative solitude
The dark, empty space. An empty VIP parking lot - give it to the passholders.
Who turned out the lights? Most of my skiing, by reason of gainful employment, has to be grabbed in couple hour sessions, mainly at night. Why is the lighting getting worse and worse? And what gives with closing Stingray, a slope with dual camber and under-the-lift presence, at night?
Still, though, where else can you have a quad chair and the slopes nearly to yourself? Would be heaven if the lights came back on (they're there, just not lit) and the fear of being blindsideed by out-of-control snowboarders wasn't always just a scraping sound away. You just can't thank Jake Burton enough.
With all the snow we have and > a foot expected tonight, why project closing so early in the year? Just do one more day than the Big Guy on the next ridge/
