“I'm always surprised when I see the comments on this app. To the western big mountain skiers, no, hv is not a western big mountain resort. Everyone knows that. It is a small, eastern mountain, and specializes in beginner terrain. You won't find fields of deep pow like in jackson hole or steamboat, you'll find ice and hardpack, but at least it's still skiing and it's only an hour away from pittsburgh. plus we actually got a ton of snow for us this winter. To the Springs diehards, it's a well known fact that springs has more terrain than hv, but hv is a lot cheaper, often has better snow, people won't steal your stuff if you leave it for 5 seconds, and is a much better mountain to learn on because most of the terrain is easy. Plus people there, in general, tend not to be jerks, unlike every single time i've been to springs.”
