Full review

We skied Blue Mtn. for the first time today. The runs were certainly decent in length, a little icy but overall well groomed. The two double lifts ran slow and stopped often but offered little or no wait getting on them. The lift operators (I think) were asleep at the wheel with the loading and unloading of skiers -- they could have (should have) been more attentive. They offered (vertually) 'zero' assistance for young new skiers loading and it resulted in a few mishaps with skis coming off (another story) during loading -- and no one bothering to stop the lift (mind you, it stopped many other times). It's not easy exiting the a moving chair (at full speed) with one ski "on" and the other ski six chairs back. The "lodge" is Ok, but hey ... you're not there to sit in the lodge. I will say the food prices weren't bad, all things being equal. Our kids (beginners, under 12) preferred Jack Frost to Blue. Aside from the chair lift snafus ... we had a decent day skiing. That said, we'll try some other mountains before heading back to Blue.
