Poor grooming, snowmaking while trails are open
I don't understand this "new" thing that Blue is doing on a daily basis this year---constantly making snow simultaneously on many OPEN trails----if you are not an advanced skier, these conditions are difficult to navigate through. In prior years, the snow was only made on closed trails or during the night. Also, beginner trail Burma Road was very hard pack, chunks and ruts everywhere, dangerous! Those operating the snowmobiles have no etiquette and drive right up the middle of the trails ruining the conditions by bringing up chunky snow--why can't they use one edge to ride up? Todays conditions: blowing man-made snow on many open trails, baseball size chunks, hardpack, some nice cordoroy if you look for it. I left after 45 minutes of skiing today--I am a season pass holder for 10 plus years and this year is the first year I have been dissatisfied just about every day out on the mountain due to the constant snowmaking while trails are open--they have a great base and this is unnecessary.
