Full review

Just skied Blue Mt on 6 Jan with new skier friend (her first time here) and had a great day overall. I've skied 17 yrs (out West, and New England), so I realize what PA is missing and what to appreciate. Blue Mt is up there with Elk and Sno Mt and Blue Knob for vertical. THis much I'll say, the double black White Lightning at Sno Mtn is still steeper than anything at Elk or Blue Mt. (Blue Knob not really in the running for steeps). The new double black Nightmare at Blue Mt is more of a blue trail (could not believe it got black rating); however Razer and Challenger are nice steeps for advanced skiers. Wanting more, go to Sno Mtn or out of PA. Still I will come back to Blue for the trail variety and quick lifts (Elk could use a new lift or two). My friend (level 4) enjoyed the long green and blue trails; with not much ice or traffic on this thursday. Thanks Blue Mt for the great day and see you soon. P.S. Some slopeside lodging would really take off. here. Do something!... moderate prices to please everyone!
