I learned to snowboard at Big Boulder last season, and loved it. The conditions have always been pleasant, and so far this season, and since I have a house 5 mintues from the resort, i have been able to go up almost every weekend. Last year, BB's terrain park was small, but very interesting. And they had a big air park as well. I had not really been on terrain parks before, but just some of the rails and stuff they had were kind of cool and different. This year, they did away witht that park and built 2 new ones: a "beginner" park, and a "medium" park. The big air park is still there, and now has music. The ski school hill is now Freedom Park, and Merry Widow is now a medium sized terrain park. The other person, i noted, had a big complaint about "boarders", and being a boarder myself, i can reciprocate that: skiiers are just as bad. The only major complaint i have, however, is people on the terrain parks who really shouldn't be there - people who don't even know how to ski or ride. They have beginner hills for you - stay on them until you can go down the hill the whole way without falling. That, and people who pretend to go off a jump or rail - such that, they are heading for it, and last second, veer off to the side. i dont understand that? but it's annoying for the rest of us. However, that is a general issue with most mountains. Overall...Big boulder is awesome. Go there!
