I went to Bear Creek 2 years ago and it was smallllll. The vertical is pretty bad, but it's PA so I didn't expect alot in the first place. The lifts are slow and the snow, well there wasn't a whole lot of it, and it was January. There were brown spots in the trails that were marked off because of a lack of snow. Some trails were just closed all together. If you want a better place to ski that is still close to home, try Blue Mountain. However, the Bear Creek Lodge was nice.
