I found Alpine mountain this year by accident. I was heading to the Poconos with my daughter on MLK day. We were going to go to Camelback. I saw that on my map Alpine Mountain was closer by about 15 minutes so we desided to give it a go.The Mountain was very freindly. There were no lines to speak of and the snow was actually very nice. We skied the entire day and probably spent less then 15 minutes on line. The runs are wide and not really that steep. I am 46 and my skiing was a bit rusty but I had no problem skiing most of the runs there. We returned two weeks later and then for presidents day weekend and the we had a great time. They had Alpine racing and my daughter got a trophy for her run. I have made this my destination of choice for skiing in the Poconos.
