    Megastar before mega-backdrop: On 3 May 2014 Robbie Williams will perform at the legendary Top of the Mountain Concert in Ischgl on the at 2,300 meters altitude.     In 1963 the first cable railway went into operation. To celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Silvrettaseilbahn AG, from the 6th to the 10th of January, ten international artists are putting together an open-air gallery with vehicle access, right in the middle of the skiing area. ‘Past, Present and Future of the Ski Resort’ is the theme of the 21st snow sculpture competition ‘Shapes in White’.     Sir Elton John will perform the season closing Top Of The Mountain concert in Ischgl on Saturday 3rd May. It will be Sir Elton's second appearance at Ischgl – he was the first star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now famous season closing concerts, back in 1995 when his grand piano was flown in beneath a helicopter.     UK band Stereophonics had a nice day in Ischgl - playing to a crowd of 20,000 skiers and boarders at 2320m in a mountain top arena. The chart-topping band (whose hits include Have A Nice Day) played as the snowclouds gathered to ensure great conditions for the remainder of the season - Ischgl's slopes stay open until Sunday 4 May.
