I went to Timberline thinking it was going to be fantastic because of all the hype. It wasn't. There isn't much variety in terrain and the runs are much shorter than Mt Hood Meadows. There are no double black diamonds and the black diamonds are easier than MHM. Also, there are a lot of more straight runs, where MHM has more than turn and take you on a ride. For a tiny bit longer drive, you can get much more bang for your buck at either Ski Bowl (great night life) or Meadows (great all around).
