I have skied for 40 plus years all over the US and Europe. I have been skiing at Batchelor for the past 10 years and live part time in the area. The mtn is beautiful and has some great terrain. Summit is often closed in winter. The winds can be fierce. I have found the employees to be great and am surprised by the negative comments in other reviews about them. The Chileans last year were really fun and friendly. This year has had its problems and I am hearing a lot of locals saying they will go to Hoodoo because of it's great staff and low prices. My perception is that the new mgmt is concentrating on the visitors and not the locals. Too bad. The lines are really only long at xmas, t-day and 1 week of spring break. More plowing on the main road would be good!
