I have 2 children who have had 3 lessons @ Dagmar. Although Dagmar is limited in terms of Intermediate skill level, I will be continue to take my business to this local hill after the deplorable treatment myself and my daughter experienced visiting Mt St. Louis this past weekend.
I purchased 1 lift ticket [half day] for my 9 year old girl, and used a voucher that my Mom purchased at a discounted price being "a local" in the community. To my dismay I simply had to return my lift ticket to the customer service desk to redeem a $5 rebate for the half day usage. I told my daughter I would have to "cut" her lift ticket off her jacket @ the end of our half day for the rebate. However, my daughter insisted she wanted to leave it on so she could show her friends that she went to Mt St. Louis....which was just fine.
My mother ended up picking my daughter up to take her into Barrie for a hot chocolate so I went down to return my own lift ticket to get my $5 rebate. The clerk advised me I could not redeem my $5 rebate because I used a voucher. I then requested to speak to the manager....whom I know is the owner's son Rob. [He is very well known in the industry as a discrespective/disgruntled business man....]
Rob advised me that if I want my $5 I would have to find my daughter and snip her "lift ticket" off to redeem my $5 that I was entitled to. I became very frustrated @ this point.
I let Rob know that I as well work in the "service industry", and I would be ashamed of myself if I ever treated a customer with such disgrace.
After spending over $150 in lift tickets/food/snacks this man does not understand a fraction of what responsibilty he has working in service industry.
Rob, your reputation is bang on accurate.
I hope this may be of value to customers that may be seeking a good experience as a family in a positive environment.....you will not find this @ Mt St. Louis.
Next time I will take my business to Horseshoe Valley, or will continue with my local hill of Dagmar.
