For a ski hill in southern Ontario - blue mountain is one of the better ones. There are quite a few runs, and a decent villiage with lots of restaurants to choose from. I believe it has the greatest elevation change in Ontario at a whoping 800ft. However, because of it's proximity to Toronto - this place is busy on the weekends. and because it is so busy, the snow quality is often far from top notch. My favorite time of the day is about 4:30 in the afternoon - follow the groomer across the hills as they do their runs - at least then you don't get ice ridges that's make you think your boading on broken concrete. I usually go during the week - which is nice because you can ski or board right to the front of the lift line. One good thing is that they have an extensive set of highspeed lifts - more than I've seen anywhere, which means that they can move lots of people quite quick.
