I've been to Blue Mountain a few times - Early January most recenly. The hill is usually in pretty good shape compared to most resorts in Ontario due to their great snowmaking. The hill is the largest in Ontario and close enough to Toronto. I've only been there on weekends and it is extremely busy. Blue Mountain is a Intrawest resort so there has been a ton of investment, and you'll find all the services of other big resorts. It is mostly a family resort, so there are of young children and beginners on the hill, so watch out. It also creates a lot of problems on the lifts. Although they are high-speed 6 seaters they are constantly stopping. I don't think that I made it up the lift once the entire day without the lift stopping. That said it does give you the most vertical if you can't get to Quebec or out west. In Ontario beggar's can't be choosers, but you may want to look elsewhere if you want to save a little money and avoid the crowds.
